Swerving into the stall ( with honks from both sides of the traffic) I manage to park my car at the unpaved road. (it was real muddy!) As the saying goes “Curiosity kills a cat”, I walked up to the counter and asked, “Kak, apa tu Cendol Bakar?” To my surprise “Bakar'” is the last name of the owner of this humble stall. There goes the suspense Hahahahahaha.
Built with only bamboo, wood and attap leaves, this cendol stall offers a variety of Cendols for its customers.
Here are the selections of Cendols :
I decided to order Cendol VVIP ( as though I am a Celeb) and Cendol Tapai. Apparently ‘tapai’ is fermented glutinous rice which taste sweet and sour at the same time and is used in traditional recipes. Not to mention the price for both costs RM6.30.
From Left : Cendol VVIP & Cendol Tapai
Tapai gives a more sour-ish taste to the Cendol and could be quite filling. Some may find the taste weird so I would suggest you to order Cendol VVIP instead. The Nata de Coco in the Cendol adds some kicks to this dessert. I ordered Pasembur to complement the dessert which cost at a mere RM3.50.
Using eggs, prawn crackers and other delicious condiments with spicy gracy, this is a must try dish when you drop by to the Cendol Bakar stall.
What’s more? Cendol Bakar also offers a drive-through service if you are rushing for time!
Amazing right!?
Till I write again.
